Lt.-Gen. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, in the presence of HEAhmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, inaugurated today the Conference and Exhibition on Digital Economy Technologies Seamless 2021. The event, sponsored by the Arab League and organized by Terrapinn, is held at the World Trade Center in Dubai and will run on September 29-30, 2021.
The conference comes as part of the project of Arab vision on digital economy announced in Abu Dhabi in December 2018, with the generous support and patronage of HHSheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. Participants in the event include a number of international institutions and organizations such as Harvard University, the UN and the World Bank.
Sheikh Saif attended the opening ceremony of the conference and watched with the attendees a documentaryon the efforts made to develop the Arab digital economy and the initiatives and projects enhancing these efforts. They also listened to the speeches delivered at the opening ceremony of the conference.

Lt.-Gen. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, walked around the exhibition held on the sideline of the Arab Digital Economy Technologies Conference. Accompanied by HEthe Secretary-General of the Arab League and the conference guests, Sheikh Saif was briefed on the latest technology in electronic and digital payments, e-commerce, retail, fintech, digital identity and banking sectors.
The participants valued the level at which exhibiting companies and institutions emerged, and everyone’s commitment to the rules of distancing and health protection to confront infection, which is calculated for the management of the exhibition and conference which is taking place in a completely safe manner, they assured it confirms the importance of the preventive and health measures followed by the state to serve its residents and visitors.
Announcing the Arab Digital Economy Prize Initiative
The Arab Union for Digital Economy announced its strategic initiative The Arab Digital Economy Award during the Seamless 2021 Conference and Exhibition on Digital Economy Technologies.
The award covers topics of digital payments, financial technology (Fintech), digital currencies, e-commerce, artificial intelligence and block chain technology.

The Arab Union for Digital Economy rolled out the Initiative establish advanced data centers across the Arab region as part of the initiatives of the Arab vision for the digital economy. This came at the Seamless 2021 Conference and Exhibition on Digital Economy Technologies, which is held at the World Trade Center in Dubai on September 29-30, 2021 under the patronage of the Arab League.
This initiative is one of the most important initiatives of the Arab vision for the digital economy, as it aims to enable developing Arab countries to own a digital infrastructure, develop and manage cloud services to support digital transformation in all economic sectors, including government services, and help them reduce capital and operational expenditures and provide alternative solutions to improve energy consumption.
