The Minister of Foreign Affairs patronizes the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between the Council of Arab Economic Unity and ATDEXT Group to launch an environmentally friendly local data center in the Kingdom of Bahrain
Under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, ATDXT Group organized a celebration on the occasion of the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Council of Arab Economic Unity to launch an environmentally friendly local data center established in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which was held today via electronic video communication.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the Council of Arab Economic Unity by Dr. Eng. Ali Muhammad Al-Khoury, advisor to the Council, and it was signed by Mr. J.S Murthy, Group CEO.
On this occasion, His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his pride and appreciation for the initiative of ATDEXT Group to choose the Kingdom of Bahrain to be the headquarters of this center with its important vital objectives, which proves the excellence of the investment environment in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the care and support provided by the competent authorities concerned with attracting investments and capital in the Kingdom. From many facilities to investors, expressing his pleasure that the group plans to transform this center as its main headquarters to provide advanced technological services in the field of digital transformation in order to provide the best services to its partners in many Arab countries.
His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain occupies an advanced and distinguished position in the field of digital transformation in the Middle East, and is planning to implement the future vision towards the digital economy that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the country, may God protect and preserve, emphasized in his speech The opening session of the second session of the fifth legislative term of the Shura and Representatives Councils, noting that His Majesty the King has directed that the government begin to develop a comprehensive national plan that ensures the Kingdom of Bahrain is fully prepared to deal with the requirements of the digital economy, by adopting and employing artificial intelligence techniques in the production and service sectors, through Putting in place the necessary systems, completing the technical infrastructure, and encouraging quality investments, to ensure the maximum benefit from the returns on our national economy.
His Excellency stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain, based on Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, is striving, through cooperation between the public and private sector, to transform the Kingdom’s economy into a technology-based economy in preparation for Bahrain’s digital future, in light of the global economy’s tendency to restructure to meet the requirements of rapid technology. He pointed out that several distinguished initiatives aimed at strengthening the digital infrastructure in the Kingdom were launched, including the launch of a highspeed fiber-optic network for the Internet, as part of Bahrain’s Fifth National Action Plan for Telecommunications (NPT5), which will contribute to facilitating and accelerating communications and providing better services. Services to the beneficiaries, whether for government agencies, private sector institutions or individuals, wishing ATDX Group success in managing and operating this center with the highest standards of quality and excellence.
